Happy Thanksgiving... uh...

Sat Oct 10, 2009, 8:54 PM
Well, since I sporadically drop in every once in awhile, I'd thought I would take the time to wish everyone either a Happy Thanksgiving, or Columbus Day depending on where you live. For myself, it's not really anything but another day. Never celebrated Columbus Day when I lived in the States, and to me, it's not Thanksgiving yet, me being a transplanted Yank and all. Plus, I have no extended family around. They're all 1000 miles away, and won't celebrate until November. I won't be around for that, unfortunately, but will be there in heart.

Now, I know that I'm not known well in dA land, or for that much, anywhere. I'm not a real chit-chatty person, which should be quite obvious how much I lack on giving responses and even criticism to anyone's work. Mostly everything I do I feel like a hack anyway. I've grown quite leery of most everyone on the internets in general, since most people can be quite callous, and self-absorbed. I may come across as being self-absorbed since I'm pretty quiet, but that isn't the case. I just never know what to say, and honestly, quite shy at offending anyone. It's much easier to just sit on the wall and watch, and dream of being something better.

So, I guess, basically, what I would like to say is a huge thank you to everyone who has watched, or favourited any of my work. I know the sprites aren't really anything that hasn't been 100 times over, but I'd like to think that I'm giving a pattern for others to go by. My photography, on the other hand, is a real thing to me. I'm not very good, naturally, but strive to do much better. I may never get that good at it, and honestly, the few favourites I have gotten though that medium has been very sufficient in boosting my low ego itself. Again, thanks so much for everything from this lowly soul, and I mean that from the bottom of my heart.

In closing, before I head off to bed, I apologize to everyone for not being more of a social sort. Keep on doing all the great work each of you do. You all definitely inspire, even though I may not say anything. I do look, honestly I do, and with each look gives a smile.

Have a great holiday weekend.

New Sprite?

Tue Sep 15, 2009, 8:23 PM
Will more than likely will have a new sprite(s) up tomorrow.

I'm currently laid off from work, preparing to move, and busy with other projects before the winter rolls in. I send my sincerest apologies on not keeping up with my bead sprite hobby, but honestly, sitting for an hour in the same position can be a little bit painful and discouraging.

I sat for three hours tonight working on the piece I started tonight. I need to correct a couple of colours, and filling in the last character before I'm finished. I've also been debating on going to another medium for making sprites, which will give me more freedom to move, and the supplies are easily obtainable than the perler beads. I acquired some fabric while I was down in Minnesota back in May, but haven't really messed with it. I started working on Jedah from Darkstalkers for my husband, since he's my husband's favourite character from the series, and that was a month ago. I just can't concentrate on working on it at all.

I'd like to thank everyone in advance for the :+fav:'s and such for the past few months, and I'm working on personally leaving comments as we speak. So, if you find a "Thanks for the :+fav:" and don't remember, well, it's in my message box that you :+fav:'d one of my submissions, and I'm just now getting around to cleaning everything up.

Anywho, tomorrow (or later this morning, if you want to be technical), I probably will add some more photography, and along with the sprite(s). Sleep well, or Good Morning to everyone.

I've Been Tagged!!

Fri Apr 24, 2009, 4:50 PM
I was tagged a few weeks ago by my buddy :iconsonic1988: and since I haven't been around for awhile (sorry, been busy!!), I thought, why the heck not.

Rules:
1. Post these rules
2. Each tagged person must tell 8 things about themselves
3. At the end you have to tag 8 people and post their icons in your journal
4. Then go back to their page with a comment saying you tagged them
5. No tag backs!

8 Random Things About Myself:

1. I am a geek about human anatomy and completely fascinated by the human body.
2. I don't believe that I'm an artist, but I have been told otherwise by one of my artist friends.
3. Despite what I have previously thought, I am a shy person both online and offline.
4. My two biggest fears are bees/wasps/hornets and falling.
5. I love to travel, and wish I had more money to do so.
6. The two most heavily used words in my vocabulary are "Dude" and "Sorry."
7. I'm just now becoming aware that I'm no different than most people.
8. Even though I'm close to 30, I still love toys and video games.

And now to tag 8(!) people...

That's all for now...

Mon Dec 22, 2008, 3:30 PM
I've gotta prepare for the holidays coming up... my mother-in-law will be here on Wednesday, and I need to clean house.

I may try to squeeze a couple of more in before my vacation is over.

Have a safe and happy holiday everyone.

As promised...

A couple new sprites...

Gosh, Freezeman took around 3 - 4 hours to complete (call me slow, or whatever) and ate up a lot of my time today. I have a plan for a couple tomorrow, but I also need to clean house for the holidays.

Merry Christmas to everyone in advance! :)
